Quick Answer

What You Can Customize

A custom corrugated project is built from a handful of decisions: the dimensions, the box style, the board grade, the print, and the quantity. Here's what each one covers.

Dimensions

Your Exact Length × Width × Depth

Boxes manufactured around your product or case count, so contents fit with less void fill, less dimensional weight and less movement in transit.

Structure & Style

Box Style Built for the Job

Standard RSC shipping cartons cover most projects, with other structures and styles reviewed by project based on what the packaging needs to do.

Board Grade

Strength Around the Load

32 ECT C-flute Kraft is our standard board, with heavier grades and stronger construction available by request for heavier products and demanding stacking.

Printing

Flexo-Printed Branding

Logos, brand colours, handling marks and product identification printed directly on kraft. Printed projects start at 1,000 boxes.

Plain Custom

Custom Size, No Print

Need the fit without the branding? Plain kraft boxes in custom dimensions are made to order from 500 boxes per size.

Quantities

Volume & Repeat Production

Pricing scales with quantity, and once your box is set up, repeat runs reproduce the same dimensions, grade and print order after order.

Artwork works best as vector files. Flexo printing reproduces logos and solid brand elements from vector artwork (AI, EPS or PDF), and simpler designs with fewer ink colours generally print cleaner on kraft and set up more economically. Send what you have with your quote request and we'll review it against the process.

How It Works

From Your Specs to Finished Boxes

Custom packaging is a straightforward back-and-forth: you tell us what the box needs to do, we confirm the specification and price, and production runs in our own Scarborough facility.

01

Send Your Specs

Share the product or packed dimensions, approximate weight, quantity, and whether printing is needed. Artwork can come now or after the quote — vector files work best.

02

Review & Quote

We review the specification against the application: dimensions, board grade, box style and print. You get a quote with the quantity breaks that make sense for the project.

03

Approve the Spec

Dimensions, grade, quantity and print layout are confirmed before anything runs. For printed projects, artwork is reviewed against the flexo process at this stage.

04

Production

Boxes are manufactured in our Scarborough facility. Made to order runs are typically about a week, with printed projects confirmed at quoting.

05

Delivery or Pickup

Finished boxes ship flat and deliver across the GTA, or collect them same day they're ready at 860 Progress Avenue in Scarborough.

Reorder Anytime

Your specification stays on file. Repeat runs reproduce the same dimensions, grade and print without going back through setup.

Choosing Your Specification

Plain, Printed, or Somewhere In Between

Four decisions shape most custom projects: whether custom sizing pays for itself, whether the box needs print at all, how many ink colours the design really needs, and whether this is a one-off or a program.

01

When Does Custom Sizing Pay for Itself?

When the standard size is making you pay for air. If products ship with heavy void fill, dimensional weight charges, or damage from movement inside the box, a custom dimension usually recovers its cost across the run. If a stock size already fits well, custom adds little.

02

Plain Kraft or Printed?

Print earns its cost when the box is seen. Cartons that reach customers, retail floors or unboxing moments justify branding. Boxes that live inside a warehouse or inside another box usually don't, and plain kraft in the right size does the job from 500 boxes.

03

One Ink Colour or Several?

Each additional ink colour adds a plate and setup cost. Tints of the same ink don't. A one-colour design using solid and lighter tint areas can look layered while printing as a single plate. Bold, simpler artwork also reproduces most reliably on kraft.

04

One-Off Run or Repeat Program?

Setup costs spread across every box you'll ever print. For recurring packaging, the plates and specification are a one-time investment: repeat runs reorder against the same spec, which is where printed packaging gets economical.

Not sure which way to go?

Send the product dimensions, your rough volumes and the artwork you have. We'll tell you honestly whether custom, printed or a stock size serves the project best.

Custom & Branded FAQ

Common Questions About Custom Boxes

Quick answers about minimums, artwork, ink colours, lead times and GTA delivery.

What is the minimum order for custom boxes?

Plain custom-sized boxes are made to order from 500 boxes per size. Printed projects start at 1,000 boxes. Setup and plate costs spread across the run, which is why printed packaging has the higher floor and gets more economical as quantities grow.

What artwork files do you need for printed boxes?

Vector artwork works best: AI, EPS or vector PDF. Flexo printing reproduces logos and solid brand elements from vector files, and simpler designs with fewer colours generally print cleaner on kraft.

Don't have vector files? Send what you have with your quote request and we'll review it against the process.

How many ink colours can you print?

Each ink colour prints from its own plate, so the practical answer depends on the design and is reviewed at quoting. Worth knowing: tints of the same ink share a plate, so a one- or two-colour design using solid and lighter tint areas can look layered without the cost of additional plates.

Can you match our exact brand colours?

Ink colour on kraft reads differently than on white or on screen because the brown board shows through and warms every colour printed over it. Colour targets are reviewed against the board at quoting, and bold, higher-contrast brand elements generally hold up best on kraft.

How long does a custom box order take?

Plain made-to-order boxes typically run about a week. Printed projects add artwork review and plate preparation, so lead times are confirmed with your quote based on the design and quantity.

Do you deliver custom boxes across the GTA?

Yes. Finished boxes ship flat and deliver to businesses throughout the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan and surrounding communities. Same-day pickup is also available at our Scarborough facility once your order is ready.
