Prime Carton started in 2026 with a corrugator in Scarborough and a straightforward idea: businesses in the GTA should be able to buy boxes from the people who actually make them.
We are a family run manufacturer, not a distributor reselling somebody else's board. Every box we sell is converted in our own facility from 32 ECT C-flute Kraft corrugate. That is why 15 of our fastest-moving sizes sit palletised and ready to ship in one to two days, why you can pick up the same day you order, and why we can quote a size that is not in the catalogue without going through three middlemen first.
We are new, and we know what that means. It means we answer the phone, we take the small orders, and we would rather earn a repeat customer than win a single big invoice.
Why We Started
Making Boxes
Buying corrugated in the GTA usually means going through a distributor. You get a catalogue, a lead time somebody else controls, and a price with a margin stacked on it before it reaches you. Ask for a size that is a half inch off the standard and the answer comes back in a week, if it comes back at all.
We opened Prime Carton in 2026 to take that layer out. We bought the equipment, we run the plant in Scarborough, and we sell direct to the businesses that use the boxes. When you call about a run, you are talking to the company that will make it.
Being new is not a disadvantage here. It means we still have room on the schedule for a customer ordering one bundle, and it means we would rather fix something quickly than defend a policy. We are building this the way we would want to be sold to.

Conversion
Sheet to finished carton on our own line. Regular slotted containers are our volume product, scored, slotted, and glued to the dimensions you order rather than the nearest stock size.
Flexo Printing
One colour through full colour, printed direct to kraft. Logos, handling marks, lot codes, and full brand artwork. Plates are made once and reused on every reorder.

Ready to ship sizes live on the floor here, not in a warehouse three provinces away. That is why you can order in the morning and collect the same afternoon.
32 ECT C-flute Kraft, on every order
One board spec across the catalogue. 32 ECT is the edge crush rating, meaning the board holds 32 lbs per inch of edge before it crushes. C-flute is the medium wave profile between the liners, the balance point between stacking strength and usable interior space. Heavier grades and double wall are available on quoted work.
Recyclable by Default, Local by Design
Two things about corrugated work in your favour, and both of them come down to how the material is made and how far it has to travel.
Kraft corrugate is recyclable, and gets recycled
Our boxes are plain kraft corrugate. No wax coating, no laminate, no plastic film. That means they go into standard cardboard recycling without any separation step, which is why corrugated has one of the higher recovery rates of any packaging material in North America.
Unprinted kraft is the easiest version of this to recycle, and it is what most of our catalogue ships as. When you do print, keeping coverage light keeps the box just as recoverable.

We deliver the GTA, and only the GTA
Every order leaves Scarborough on a short run. We are not shipping boxes across the country on a transport truck, which keeps the freight cost off your invoice and the lead time down to days rather than weeks.
It also means we are a local supplier in the practical sense. If a run is wrong, we are twenty minutes away, not a support ticket in another time zone.
